Play audio files from a Samsung BlackJack on your Chumby

You will need:

Samsung Blackjack SGH-i607
Micro SD card
USB cable for the Blackjack

First, load audio on a Micro SD card by connecting your phone to a PC. I use Windows Media Player in Windows. I just copy files to the device in Ubuntu and Fedora.

Next, configure the BlackJack as a Mass Storage device.

From the home screen:
Select Start, Settings, Connections, USB
Tap right once to change from the default, ActiveSync, to Mass Storage
Tap Done

Finally, connect the Blackjack to a Chumby and play files
Use the USB cable to connect the phone to one of the Chumby's USB ports
Power cycle the Chumby.
From the main menu touch Music
Scroll to the last menu item, then touch My Music files.
It will not show files names but, the number of files will be displayed, touch the play button.

Bonus: A custom alarm that uses files on your memory card may be created.
